Artefactorist — Web App Design
Brief:
The task was to create a platform which allows regular people to create fully customized furniture in a most simple and straightforward way. The system should also allow the user to choose a manufacturer for that furniture. As for the manufacturer, that user-type should be able to approve and modify orders, communicate with customers, and set up their own store on the platform.
What I did:
I conducted whole design process (I like to use Stanford Design School methodology) starting from research/wireframing and ending up with prototyping and user testing. The final design had more than 90 screens with accounts for both buyers and manufacturers. The design also factored in responsiveness for tablets and smartphones.
Why this way:
All the decisions I made during this process are based on the research results and user portraits I made right in the beginning. For example, the target audience looked for a luxurious feeling in the experience which affected our UX and UI decisions a great deal.
