Shopp - minimal mobile storefront
I wanted to try and innovate within the mobile shopping experience sphere. Observing people use online stores on their phones made me realize that we rarely have the pertinent amount of information readily available.
I designed this experience/UI in order to address that. I wanted to find an innovative way in which to give the user control over how much or how little information they want to access at a given time. The result was this top horizontal slider.
The slider actually became a centerpiece of navigation as it also facilitates switching categories on the fly as an added benefit. The main usage is to control the size of the images, number of items on screen and amount of information displayed for each item.
Some people just want big photos, especially when looking for fashion items, others want more information. This answers both.
