Walker Arts District Logo

Recently, my city of Norman, Oklahoma decided to rename our downtown district the Walker Arts District as an homage to Larry Walker. Larry was an art enthusiast and a major supporter of the local arts scene here in Norman.

This logo was created for the renamed district. Much like downtown Norman itself, the brand can take the form of being very straightforward and corporate (like downtown in the daytime), or lively, energetic and fun (like the district at night). The brush textures are also a reference to the art world to which Larry Walker contributed so much of his time, work and dedication.
