Blob face

Some snapshots of the exploration process from an old project. I made a lot of these blobby faces and you can see some of my favorites here.

As you can see in the attachment, the final character ended up looking very different from these early exploration visuals. That's another reason why I really wanted to share this – the way a lot of things are showcased these days can make the viewer think that the best, most shippable ideas come naturally and stick with the designer throughout the process. In my experience, that's rarely been the case.
