Industrial Canyon Shirt

This is a design I did for my "home" Park, Lowell National Historical Park. It focuses on what is actually the Park's first "planned" (and marketed) attraction from the late 70's when it was founded.

Essentially one of the main canals (the Pawtucket) has a portion where on either side it is flanked by steep brick walls of the old industrial buildings. These have since been renovated in to condos and businesses but for the most part it is still there.

The center bottom is meant to show a NPS tour boat that circulate through the area in the warmer months.

Style-wise it is obviously meant to echo the old NPS posters. Those all tended to focus more on natural beauty, but this particular canyon is obviously actually man-made. I still wanted to convey a sense of largeness and depth typically seen on those posters.

The typeface, Ermine, was generously donated by the type foundry @Badson Studio for this particular volunteer project. (The Lowell NPS and I can't thank you guys enough! )

This will primarily be used on shirts and hats, plus any other swag it may fit.
