Material color palettes

Designing Material color palettes is so much fun! We're currently working on Hckrs – an online platform for hackathons, workshops and similar events that uses Material Design as the basis of the visual language.

I created these color scales based on the three brand colors Hckrs uses. Since they were pretty light pastel neon type of colors, I included them in the brighter A--- sets and made the main palettes with the sames hues.

These colors will be used across the product, marketing website, illustrations and advertising materials. The Material paradigm provides with enough shades to create depth and hierarchy in all of these scenarios, while the naming scheme is still simple enough to navigate. That's got to be my favorite thing about Material color.
