Red Sox Scores: September 30, 2017
Game No. 161
With two games left and a precarious, two-game lead over the Yankees, the Sox clawed their way to a victory over the Astros with a string of base hits and stolen bases in the fourth and fifth innings. Mookie Betts added a monstrous home run in the seventh and Craig Kimbrel struck out three batters to close out the game. The win marks the first time the Sox have one two division titles in a row and the first time any manager has won the pennant three times with the team.
•••• For every Red Sox game this season, @Dan Perrera and I are visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. Home games are on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox are always red.
