Polaris

My design for the logo of the Search team at WalmartLabs, referred to internally as Polaris.

With "Polaris" being a term related to space, I decided to mimic the title font of the film Interstellar. That film used a font called Linotype Didot, so i used a related (and free!) font called Didot.

I used a gradient color layer on the main text to give it some depth. For the O i created a symbol that's evocative of a solar eclipse, reinforcing the space theme.

The tagline "Search that's out of this world" is admittedly corny, but I feel it works
