I Am Vincent by Douglas Coupland — Daniel Baker

About a year ago I had the incredibly rad chance to collaborate with Douglas Coupland by helping him search the planet looking for Vincent van Gogh's closest lookalike.

In partnership with the Mark Anthony Group, I helped design and build a submission site which ended up getting 1,250 entrants from 37 countries (that's 1,250 people that look just like Van Gogh) which is crazy—and a bunch of coverage.

Daniel Baker, from Dorset England, ended up being Van Gogh's doppelganger (for real, this guy looks exactly like the paintings) and was given €5,000 and was flown to Vancouver to be 3D-scanned. His facial data was then used to create that large bronze sculpture in the attachments.

I'll post more from the project soon. ✌️
