I designed this input for one of Proctest's test-taking environments. Proctest provides an end-to-end online testing platform that is used by NATO, the US army and a multitude of schools and educational organizations.

Apart from being a regular text area, this input allows the users to choose alternative input methods, indicated by the icons in the bottom left corner.
Not all potential Proctest users are used to regularly working on a computer, but the outcomes of the tests they're taking are always important. In order to make the platform more accessible and set everyone for success, we added quick options to toggle the system on-screen keyboard or launch the web camera and capture a handwritten response.
