Lord of the Flies. The island. Looking up at our dark side.

This is the detail of a book cover which was submitted in answer to a student brief.

The aim was to develop and then submit 3 alternate cover designs for 2 books from a given list. I selected William Golding's Lord of the Flies and Will Self's Great Apes. This is my chosen concept for Lord of the Flies.

The design is a couple of years old but any suggestion that would improve it is welcome. For the anecdote, I used a photograph of my daughter's eyes to represent the island!
