Red Sox Scores: September 16, 2017

Game No. 148

Rick Porcello knew the bullpen was exhausted after a marathon game the previous night so he gave them just what they needed: a rest. The Red Sox starter took a shutout into the eighth inning, giving up only five hits and one run. Mookie Betts was the difference maker on the offensive side, hitting a hone run and scoring twice to vault his team to another victory over the Rays.

For every Red Sox game this season, @Amy Parker and I are visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. Home games are on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox are always red.
