Again, I am proud to be a Philadelphian. On Thursday, I witnessed the 3rd Annual Trans Flag Raising over City Hall. It was an incredibly powerful and affirming ceremony for representation for many folks who are often ignored by city government.

It's so exciting and emotional to be standing around and getting to watch the happy, proud, and SEEN faces of members of my own community. While I do not identify as trans, I need to use my position and inherent privilege to publicly and loudly support those who were just as excited for the raising of the new (and beautiful) Pride flag, back in June.
