Currahee!
A little homage to the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment & where they trained. After rewatching the series Band of Brothers I did some research and put a little of what I learned into this post.
"Currahee" refers to the nearby mountain they trained on and eventually was adopted as the regiment's nickname. The crossed muskets —vintage 1795 Springfield models— have represented the US Infantry since 1924.
It's one of my all time favorites and worth the watch.
