Cook Book Illustration

This fishy illustration goes with a baked cod recipe in an Italian cookbook. I used Deruta ceramics as inspiration for the color palette and radiating, symmetrical patterns which are made up of the ingredients of the recipe.

I first drew each piece on paper with a black marker, scanned them in and manipulated in Photoshop, using fills, adding texture and laying out the radiating pattern.
