Slack.com redesign — Illustrations 01

I had the opportunity to do the illustrations for the new slack.com redesign! This was a huge project spanning 30+ illustrations, the development of a new house illustration brand style, and months of iterations + collab.

This illustration is my favorite of them all. I love bringing out the playfulness and warmth of "serious" concepts like business collaboration - with an edited palette, a whole lotta energetic movement, compositionally breaking the grid, yeah! Not only that, but it's just plain fun to draw. Attached are some initial sketches abstractly exploring these ideas. Full portfolio + process post to come.

Thank you to the Slack design and UENO teams for having me. :) Fantastic art direction from Brandon Velestuk & Kristy Tillman, and I worked really closely with designers @Gene Ross & Angelica Rogers to conceptualize and develop out these illos in conjunction with their lovely designs. And of course congrats to the entire Slack team (editorial, eng, etc) on the launch.
