Project Overview: Sous-Vide Recipe App
Hi everyone – thought I’d start sharing some shots of what I’ve been working on recently with the larger design community here on Dribbble. A big thank you to @suman for the invite ages ago! :)
I am an independent freelance product designer and this is a long-term project I've been working on with one of my clients, Nise Tech. Their main product is the Wave, a wifi-enabled sous-vide appliance for home kitchens. I've been working on the Wave’s companion app, a mobile recipe platform that Nise is developing for sous-vide home cooking.
As the product designer, it has been my responsibility to fully define and communicate the user experience of the app from the ground up, from early stage UX problem-solving and product/feature definition, to developing the interaction model and implementing these solutions through a consistent, branded visual design language across several different user flows: search, navigation, cooking with recipes, building and editing recipes, and cooking with the Wave appliance remotely on mobile.
I'll be continuing to add to this project to share more of my process and approach to working with early stage product teams. I'll also be highlighting some specific UX problems I have found particularly interesting to work on. Cheers. :)
