Sunderland Digital

Logo for Sunderland Digital, a monthly tech meetup in Sunderland. Branding plays heavily on Sunderland's shipbuilding past, with the block typeface based on the logos of shipyards found along the banks of the Wear, and the shield shape the upturned hull of a ship. Vintage shipyard and industrial imagery is also used throughout presentation materials.
