Magazine Cover Concept

Here is another Full Sail University project where we had to design a magazine cover. The real focus was creating a nameplate that worked well on a magazine cover. I originally designed a pretty terrible cover for the class, but years later was able to revisit this project and "clean it up". I completely redesigned it. Focusing on the Nameplate, "RAPPEL", the variation of the "A" draws from the readers sense of adventure. The container was designed to compliment the typeface and at the same time resemble a rope.
