The numbers showed that Red Sox outfielder Chris Young would perform well against the White Sox starter Mike Pelfrey and they were right. Young drove in five of Boston’s six runs, including two home runs. Starter Doug Fister put together his second strong appearance in a row, allowing only three runs and striking out seven batters to earn the win.
