GemQuest VR

For my Emerging Media Masters capstone project, I worked with a small team to create a virtual reality game demo. Players collect gems to augment their sword and battle a variety of enemies.

GemQuest VR sets itself apart by focusing on bringing human-centered design to VR. GemQuest VR is built from the ground up to be accessible and fun for gamers and non-gamers alike.

Instead of a traditional UI that breaks immersion, players are guided by their fox companion, Notchi. Notchi uses 360º audio to steer players around GemQuest's many worlds.

In GemQuest VR you can't see your controller and you don't need to. We made an early commitment to only using one button - the trigger. Everything else is handled naturally with room scale motion tracking. That means the only limit is your imagination - or your dexterity.
