Progression: Skate&Blade Academy

The “Young Instructors” project offers professional training and an instructor certificate for people between 18 and 35 years old, who practice skateboarding or inline skating. These sports are important parts of contemporary youth culture. They are going to be even more and more popular and further development is necessary. However, professional trainers in these disciplines are still lacking in the country. The main goal of the project is to offer the opportunity for professional development via an educational system and the implementation of two trainer courses. Skate Club Varna is arranging a work meeting with professional instructors from the Bulgarian Skateboard Association and skate clubs from all over the country. In three days the specific curriculum and methodology for certifying professional skateboarding trainers will be drafted. The project is happening thanks to the support of Varna Municipality and Varna “European Youth Capital 2017”.
