Real cards are a little big for the painting, but you get the idea and I did end up painting a card underneath. I used both ink and watercolors, but in order to get that caked on makeup look and rough smile I used a knife to scrape some of the top layer of the paper. This gave it a slightly different texture and really worked pretty well overall. This technique made the painted playing card seem worn and worked pretty well overall. Thanks for checking it out.
