UX: Paper Prototype Test

Hey, @folks!

I created this GIF using Gfycat's GIF Brewery, from a paper prototyping video back when I was working on Meitu apps.

Paper prototyping is a method of rapidly prototyping and usability testing many ideas (using usually sketches), but in this case I had some hi-fi printouts and used scissors to shape an interaction.

I went to the local lunch and coffee place, to run the tests with strangers, while the intern filmed - but I forgot the sticker swag prizes! Oh no!

So I ran up to the counter and asked if I could buy four $6 gift cards. It worked! Four different coffee-goers were happy to test in exchange for more java-fueled cash.

The intern and I were smiling with glee. And we discovered a lot of new insights about user's assumptions, including an unexpected, but intuitive way of clicking on the face to change to different parts of the menu. (This unexpected interaction occurred in 3 out of 4 of the participants!)

Don't forget to press "L" if you like it.

Cheers!
