In Search of Wabi Sabi

A spread from a book I designed for a diversities studies course at CCA, called 'In Search of Wabi Sabi." The book features all original photography I took throughout my trip in Japan. In this mostly wordless book (aside from a few Japanese poems) a visual diary reflecting on the contrasting worlds of Japanese culture that live so effortlessly side-by-side: from the sensory overload of the city center to the modest moments of wabi sabi and the ancient traditions of Japan.
