I spent the weekend in Palm Springs (hence why 27/52 was so late :D ) and fell in love with the minimalism and sleek, simple mid-century modern homes that are all over the Palm Springs area.

We spent most of the morning/early afternoon with a fantastic tour guide, Michael Stern, who is the expert on mid-century modern homes in Palm Springs.

This shot is from one of the acclaimed Steel Houses. I loved how simple and dynamic the composition is, and how it perfectly encapsulates the aesthetic of Palm Springs (lots of white, simple curves and shapes, and a low profile).

Also, the average day time temperature was around 115º - which was an experience.
