When AMC approached us to create a promo for their upcoming season of The Walking Dead, we were not privy to any knowledge of the plot but instead were asked to produce a spot that magnified the intensity of the characters without revealing a single zombie. The concept was to catch a glimpse of the The Walking Dead after they've been pushed to their ultimate breaking points physically and mentally. From a cinematic stand point, it was proposed that we film the entire piece on a cheetah rig, in what would have resulted in an extremely slow-motion pan, through a massive battle scene filled with out of focus pieces of exploding debris to create an extremely dense, fiery landscape allowing a fantastic backdrop to find the talent it their breaking points in.

My approach in these frames was to craft a moment in time that would generate the most debris to create an extremely dense, fiery world. On the cheetah rig we would have discovered the cast of the television show as the camera travels through small glowing embers, dirt and firey debris.
