Lion Store
This one is dear to my heart. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio (and Detroit, but that's another story for another day). The Frederick Eaton & Company kept lion statues outside of its storefront. Over time, people called the Eaton store, the Lion Store. This happened enough that Eaton officially re-branded as the Lion Store.
Rampant lion + various L shapes = Lion
A bit about Lion Store:
(from Wikipedia)
The Lion Store is a defunct retailer and department store chain in the city of Toledo, Ohio, United States. The stores were bought by Mercantile Stores and were eventually sold to Dillard's.
