Strike Pad Gesture

Had the chance recently to work on an awesome app called StoryFire - its a fun collaborative storytelling game/app. One of the core features was this reading mode where you swipe on this match strike pad to reveal a line.

From sketch concept to swift implementation, this was a fun little component to build. I worked up the basics of the design in Sketch and then did some work in After Effects to create the strike effect. The whole thing comes together in Swift with some blending modes and frame animation.
