Sapwood Cellars Logo (concept 1)

A logo concept for Sapwood Cellars, a start-up brewery in Maryland. Sapwood itself is the soft outer layers between the heartwood and bark. The name "Sapwood" was chosen based on the dichotomy of the brewery's styles: assertively hopped IPAs vs. barrel-aged for months or years. This initial concept was created with logo application (such as branding barrels and stamps) in mind.
