Conkle's Hollow

This one is dedicated to my Dad.

For almost 30 years he served as a nature preserve manager for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He always told me that Conkle's Hollow was the crown jewel of the preserve system and he's right. Nestled in the beautiful Hocking Hills, Conkle's offers vistas and trails that would be right at home out in Oregon or Northern California. With its exposed Blackhand sandstone cliffs and thick Hemlock forests, it's a little piece of heaven in Hocking County.

Included is the logo for ODNR's Division of Natural Areas and Preserves designed in the 1970s by Jim Glover. This logo is the reason I'm a designer in the first place.

Thank you Dad and Jim for instilling in me a lifelong love for nature and design and the space where the two intersect.
