Playoff Art Direction Process

This started out as a concept for a Rugby campaign event, but I found a better base of NFL images to work off of and decided to tweak the concept ever so slightly.

The idea was to make a campaign where people would choose a side, create their fantasy team based on real players and then bet money. Could be used for a charity event, a big sponsorship brawl or whatever.

The art direction was suppose to have strong lighting on the players with dark contrasts. As I played around I figured making the players the source of light was a better alternative. Type I kept minimal for now - Still deciding if icons or some sort of line device is needed.
