Volga

“Volga” wasn’t an uncommon car on USSR’s streets, but completely unattainable for most citizens. To buy a car, it was not enough to save up a huge amount of money — you had to get in line and wait for a few years (which was fair for any other car to buy in that time), after getting an Communist Party official’s approval. It is notable that because of this, used car could cost two or ever three times much than new one.
But when iron curtain has fallen, “Volga” became what it actually was by that time — an tough, old car with questionable prestigiousness.
