Snow Above Bamboo
In Japan's Meiji Era, a folklorist named Watsuji Tetsuro explained worlwide cultures according climate and geographical position of each civilization, in his book entitled "Fuudo". Watsuji also states that Japan has its unique culture because of its vast area covering from cold to tropical climate. To describe this uniqueness, he stated Japan's culture is like "Snow Above The Bamboos".
