A key investment in infrastructure for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the brief was to revitalise the brand, and to create connections with both local and global audiences.

Stand facilitated a series of design-strategy workshops with key stakeholders to ensure audience insight was integral to the solution.

The simple circle device was expanded to create a distinctive visual brand language (essential for the multi-lingual visitors to Glasgow 2014 and beyond) and a functional brand ‘kit of parts’. This included wayfinding signage from street to platform, train livery and marketing collateral.

The unmistakable, award-winning brand has been rolling out across the city since 2012.
