Keepin' It 1000

I've hit 1,000 followers here on Dribbble and I wanted to pause and say thank you and tell you a little story.

I did not go to art school and I don't even hold the pen correctly. Despite this, I have managed to teach myself the theory and practice of design and have worked my way from working at Office Max making prints of people's grandchildren to a senior design position. Along the way I've met people who have pulled me up instead of pushing me back and pixel after pixel I'm turning my dream into a reality.

Dribbble has been a wonderful opportunity for me in terms of connecting with fellow designers and getting contacted for freelance work. I want to thank Daniel Kroemer of Konxville, Tennessee for the invitation back in 2015. Thank you @Dan Cederholm for making this whole thing possible.

On July 14th I'm going full-time freelance because I keep dreaming bigger. I want to call my own shots and spend all of my time working with the people and projects that mean most to me. And I want to thank everyone who has liked, followed or critiqued me. You all have pushed me to be better and I am better because of you.

I call myself Howes Design Service because I offer design that I'm willing to put my name on to serve brands for all size and scope for a long time. You can expect great things out of Howes Design Service and I in turn expect great things out of you. We make each other better.
