Skills chart and "Problem Tunnel"

In the one of ux/ui design course, i needed to reflect my soft and hard design skills on the chart. I decided to go beyond the using a ready solution and generated my own.

I asked myself a number of correct, sometimes even obvious questions.

Why do I need product design skills? To solve user problems. How do my skills affect the problem solving? Than higher the level of proficiency and the depth of knowledge, that more complex the problem I can solve. How can I reflect this relationship on the one chart?

With a self-improvement, the level of skills can both grow up and down. In the first case - the level of proficiency, in the second - the depth of knowledge. Creating the first concepts and sketches of the chart, I saw a tunnel between soft and hard skills and i found a solution.

"Level of proficiency" (soft skills) and "Depth of knowledge" (hard skills) are directed in different directions on the Y axis, which creates "Problem tunnel" between them. "Problem tunnel" expands as we improve the skills, which means that the product designer will be able to solve increasingly complex problems.
