I am Sausal Creek

I am Sausal Creek written by Melissa Reyes and illustrated by Robert Liu-Trujillo is a book about Bay Area history. The author was a teacher in Oakland schools and could not find any stories about a creek in the Bay Area to share with her students. The book is written in the voice of the creek and details the history of peoples and changes from thousands of years ago until now.
