Responsive homepage for roommates website

As I mentioned in my previous shot, I have been working on the re-design of some areas of one of the biggest roommates websites out there, www.Easyroommate.com.

This is the new responsive homepage I designed some time ago.

One of the main challenges for me was to find a suitable layout for all the possible content and copy variations (short and long titles and descriptions, short and long city and location names. All of this in 12 different languages.)
That's also the reason why I used an iPhone5 screen resolution for the mobile version, in order to look at the narrowest screen width scenario.

Unfortunately the current live version of this page has many differences from my design. But I know the front end team will be working on polishing it soon.
