9 Pines Ale House

DEBUT POST, Y'ALL!

9 Pines Ale House is a brand new brewery in East Knoxville, an area that lacks representation of malts and hops. Not only are they pioneering the area, they are also bringing a fresh concept of taking a brew house outdoors.

My business partner, Ryan Stanley, and I always prefer to meet in person first to learn about a client's needs and most importantly, their values. Meeting Loretta, Drew, Jessi, and Nathan at their brewhouse for our initial meeting was extremely eye opening and informative. Learning about their concept for a brewery really developed a clean and direct trajectory for the rest of the branding, making such way easier to produce in a timely fashion.

Sticking to black and white in their brand not only allowed their customers to focus on the complex profiles of the individual beers, it also promotes gravitation to the more colorful and inviting outdoor area out back, pushing the outdoor concept even more. For customers to leave, they have to walk back inside, directly by the bar. TRANSACTION DESIGN, Y'ALL! We wanted a mark (or three) that could be both a pinecone and a hop. Something that fully represents their product and their origin story.

This was a true brand design, working on everything from interior aesthetic to labeling and merchandise. I'm so thankful for their trust in us and extremely happy for how well it turned out. Feel free to check out more at www.alwaysabounding.net and @always.abounding on Instagram.
