Beer and Branding 2016

One of my favorite AIGA Charlotte events is coming up and I realized I never shared my work from last year!

The event pairs up home brewers with local designers for a friendly competition - brewers create a beer using a secret ingredient and the designers create their label.

Last year's ingredient was grapefruit. I met up with my brewer to learn the brewing process from start to finish. We smoked our grapefruit and added it to a Belgian Wit to create something refreshing with a touch of smokey flavor. I wanted to showcase my experience and the beer with a fun label using bright colors, and an illustrated grapefruit grove that's a play on a match flame. View the full label here.
