H + Wood Slices

I've been working on a logo mark for a friend who has his own wood working shop. He is specialized in creating tables out of sliced wood pieces.

In this concept I included the letter H (as the name of his company starts with this) and visualized two sliced tree tables that both form this H mark. Been exploring some textured versions but that didn't felt well enough imo. Happy to hear your thoughts and would love to receive some feedback.
