Nestlé Drink Dispenser UI

This is a quick example of a drink dispensing UI we designed for the Nestlé CoolPro machine a few years ago. This particular demo shows the portion control mode, which simply means you have to choose a specific cup size before dispensing; the preferred mode in the Asian markets. There are a couple other modes that allow the user to press and hold, press and release to dispense, which is more common in the US.

Background:
We partnered with Nestlé in 2012 to design a touch screen interface to dispense their line of cold drinks across the globe. The project objectives presented many challenges and among them were language translations, four user modes for the various markets the machine would live in, and a technician admin mode that reported on machine usage data and software/hardware error data.

We were privileged to work with an awesome group of engineers, developers, and executive managers across four time zones and 3 different languages.

It's been a while since the project began, but the machine is public and in use across the world now.
