This Day In History - June 10, 1905

The first forest fire lookout tower goes into operation in Greenville, ME. Fun Fact: My great grandfather lived in the fire lookout tower on Palomar Mountain in Souther California. Hearing my grandma tell stories about spending time in the tower is awesome. I just found out you can rent a night or two in one of these. Ultimate Air BnB situation!
