Detroit had the first half of Friday night’s game under control, chasing Boston’s starter Brian Johnson from the game in the fourth inning. They maintained their lead until the eighth inning when a throwing error opened the door to a rally that culminated in a game-winning home run from Jackie Bradley Jr.
