Afterschool works for America.
A campaign I worked on for the Afterschool Alliance, a national nonprofit that advocates for afterschool programs. When Trump unveiled his budget proposal a couple months ago, he eliminated all federal funding for Afterschool programs (equating to roughly 2 million kids losing access to their programs).
Our team went into overdrive developing materials to fight the misconception and misinformation that there isn't evidence that afterschool programs work—that kids don't benefit. They do!
And if you can't get on board with programs that benefit kids, remember that working parents take advantage of afterschool programs so they can keep their full time jobs—and in turn, their employers benefit.
