How to Build a Web Engine

A little behind-the-curtain look at drafts and alternate colour comps for the last WebAssembly illustration.

In general, I spend a day whacking my head on a desk trying to come up with logical metaphors, and wrestle them into balanced compositions.

Then the easy bit is sketching it out properly. Greyscale vectoring it. Making some colour blends. Trying out different combinations of gradation shades and playing with colour curves. Spit, polish, repeat.
