Agosto

Agosto was an editorial project we did for Clever Producciones. This book of poetry was written by Mariela Bello Ruiz, and its themes are as deep as they are present in any human's life. The goal was to create a piece which expressed the essence of the poems.

We went for an aesthetic based on a low chromatic palette inspired by the winter, which has to do with the book's content. Several illustrations were created to start each section of the book and other graphic pieces, such as bookmarks, were made to go with the book.

The author felt represented by the aesthetic and received praise about her work and the quality of the editorial piece in all of the book's presentations. Despite the thoughtful content, we managed to capture its essence through visually light elements which set the rhythm and the tone of the reading.
