I wanted to share one of my favorite projects from the archives.

Southfork was a lunch delivery service in Atlanta. Unfortunately, it was still a fledgling business when Uber Eats and other giants in the food delivery scene marched into town. This bootstrapped business that cared deeply about locally-sourced ingredients and talent, had to pivot.

Back in 2015 we designed and built the technology for SF from the ground up. The end result was a marketing site paired with a fairly robust Rails web application. We also implemented SMS push notifications to notify customers of their order status.

The app served three audiences: customers who need to order meals, drivers who need to pick up and deliver meals, and ultimately the admin who needed to a bird's eye view of everything with the ability to quickly, easily get the information they needed to manage providers or drivers and help customers.

I look back fondly on this project and I can't decide if it's because I loved the work, the team was superb, or I enjoyed looking at delicious food all day. Probably all of the above.
