Backstage Capital is a venture capital firm that's invested nearly $2M in over 40 companies led by underrepresented (women, People of Color, and LGBT) founders.
One of the fun and atypical roles I play at Backstage as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence is podcast producer for our 2 podcasts. "The Bootstrapped VC" is the official Backstage Capital podcast hosted by Founder + Managing Partner, Arlan Hamilton.
This cover art is optimized for legibility on the iTunes podcast directory and other podcast apps, where covers are a huge driver of show discovery. Just like the founders Backstage invests in, Arlan doesn't look (or think!) like most of the people in her industry, and it was important to represent that.
The palette and typography extend the Backstage brand style guide, and I created a logo variant, again for legibility at small sizes.
Wide-ranging, often hilarious, and educational, this show isn't anything like other VC podcasts. 😎
